"Mr John"



John Broome, known to us as Mr John, taught Geography. He was the son of the headmaster and used to flick pieces of chalk at us if he found our attention wandering. This article (from Cheshire Life, Vol. 59(5), May 1993) mentions Somerville amongst some of his better-known enterprises.
